Building Trades & Construction Design Technology
Your Path to Success!
Vocational Certificate
The two-semester Building Trades and Construction Design Technology program will provide
you with an understanding of the construction industry and related occupations, including
OSHA safety practices, selecting and using basic hand and power tools, and understanding
construction-related documents.
Skills covered under this program include rough and finish carpentry, masonry, electrical,
plumbing and air conditioning.
Classroom and laboratory work includes working with construction documents, including
civil and architectural drawings, specifications, schedules and contracts.
The program includes work on real life construction projects in the community.
