Who We Are

The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology (BSET-IET) program prepares graduates for technical positions in the expanding fields of Industrial Engineering Technology. The primary objective is to provide a broad foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of systems thinking, technical proficiency, data-driven decision making, project management and organizational skills, and the ability to work and communicate in a teamwork environment.

This program has a strong commitment to maintain standards of excellence in content and to continuously upgrade curriculum to meet industry needs. The primary objective is to provide a broad foundation of career skills, professionalism, and the ability to be life-long learners for our graduates. Some associated careers are technical positions in the expanding fields of data analytics, decision making, optimization, systems analysis, process improvement, quality control, design requirements and ergonomics, and project management.

Employment of industrial engineers is projected to grow 12 percent from 2022 to 2032, much faster than the average for all occupations. About 22,800 openings for industrial engineers are projected each year, on average, over the decade.
