Curriculum
A Learning Community
Like all Associate of Arts degree students, Quanta-Honors students must complete a mix of general education requirements and electives. For full-time students, that means enrolling in a Quanta-Honors "course cluster" each semester as well as one or two additional (non-Quanta-Honors) courses that cover remaining general education, elective, and pre-major requirements. For example, a first-year student interested in psychology would typically register that first fall semester for the three courses named below (ENC1101, HUM2020, SLS2505) as well as an appropriate psychology course and a math or science course. A student interested in business might do the same, but substitute an accounting or economics course for the psychology course. Generally, Quanta-Honors students enroll in 12-16 total credit hours each semester. The courses completed in Quanta-Honors amount to about half of the total courses taken to complete the A.A. degree.
