Daytona State College Named a 2024 Gold-Level Military Friendly School

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA (May 7, 2024) – Daytona State College has again been ranked a Gold-level Military Friendly educational institution. Daytona State was also designated as a Military Spouse Friendly School.

Military Friendly is a standard that measures an organization's commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the community of active duty, reserves, Guard, veterans and their spouses. Organizations that exceed standards are ranked as part of Gold, Silver or Bronze categories.

“We are honored to support active members of the military, veterans and their spouses and dependents,” said Dr. Tom LoBasso, President of Daytona State College and who served 21 years in the Pennsylvania and Florida National Guards, retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class. “Service members and their families make incredible contributions to this country and our community, and we’re proud to help them with their educational, career and life goals.”
