Complete online orientation: Get introduced to our campus and resources to make the most of your college experience.
Take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) for Career & Technical Education (CTE) Reading and Math skills and achieve specified minimum scores or meet exemption requirements to graduate from this program (See an Academic Advisor for exemption criteria).

Barbering Bridge course for licensed cosmetologists - COS0562L

Offered on the Daytona Beach Campus Daytona State offers a one-semester bridge course for licensed cosmetologists interested in expanding the scope of their careers. In this course, you will acquire knowledge of the principles of Florida law, and management, history of the art of barbering and its evolution through the centuries, proper sanitizing procedures for tools and implements, the art of shaving, honing and stropping. Curriculum is designed to help program graduates successfully pass the state licensure examination for barbers.
