The News-Journal Center, is actively seeking volunteer ushers for our 23-24 season. Ushering is a great way to be involved with the arts while actively supporting all the amazing events that happen at the News-Journal Center.

Children’s Musical Theatre Workshop Presents “Beauty & the Beast Jr.”
Saturday, June 29th
1 p.m. & 7 p.m.
Based on the original Broadway production, this captivating adaptation brings the
story of transformation and tolerance to life. Set in a provincial town, it follows
Belle, a young woman, and the Beast, a prince trapped under an enchantress’s spell.
Halifax Repertory Theatre Presents 42nd Street
- Saturdays, July 20th & 27th at 7 p.m.
- Sundays, July 21st & 28th at 2 p.m.
At the height of the Great Depression, aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer comes to the big city from Allentown, PA and soon lands her first big job in the ensemble of a glitzy new Broadway show. This classic musical take on a fairy tale is set on Broadway in 1930s New York and is filled with love, laughter and of course dance

Presented by the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce
Each featured speaker will make a five-minute presentation accompanied by a 20-slide PowerPoint that automatically advances every 15 seconds. The result is a show full of fast-paced speeches on a wide variety of topics.
