Part-Time Library Specialists Daytona State College is seeking a PT Library Specialist for our Library Services Department. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and experience using Microsoft Office software. Some lifting will be required (20 to 40 pounds).
Responsibilities: The Library Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to library patrons, as well as the care and organization of library materials and equipment. The successful candidate will create new patron records and update patron information using library management software and the college’s PeopleSoft information management system, circulate library materials, shelve library materials, and provide basic technical support to students. He or she will also assist in other library functions and activities as directed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate will have knowledge of library operations, and instructional technology; have the ability to follow performance directions accurately and with appropriate speed, as outlined. He/she must be flexible, have good oral and written communications skills and the ability to read and follow written directions and instructions. Attention to detail and ability to multitask required.
Salary: $13.66/hr. (up to 20 hrs./week)
Working Hours and Location: Monday – Thursday 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Saturday 7:30 – 4:00 PM. This position is for the Daytona Campus Library. Both hours and campus location are subject to change.

Job Type: Part-time, up to 32 hours* / Week
Compensation: $16.83 / Hour
Days / Hours Needed: During the Museum’s open hours: Tuesdays – Fridays, 11am – 5pm; Saturdays 12pm – 5pm
Job Duties/Responsibilities: Assists the Museum’s Senior Staff with duties involving marketing and digital media production including (but not limited to): implementing marketing strategies and digital media trends, visual content for exhibits, print, web, and social media. It is focused on bringing students’, faculty’s, and community’s awareness of museum’s accomplishments, programs, exhibits, and events.
Job Qualifications: This position requires an associate degree in digital media production, photography, or marketing. Ability to operate and maintain various photography and videography equipment and general proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software. Knowledge of Mac computers and software a plus. Must have excellent people skills and communicate with students ahead of the annual Thesis & Departures exhibition, to ensure that eligible students are aware of the submission period and submit quality work within a timely manner. Assists in coordinating the annual Gary R. Libby Curatorial Internship. Duties include creating/maintaining application form via the Museum’s website, monitoring scholarship applications for quality, working with the selected student to choose an exhibition theme with marketability and scope in mind, and helping the student to create promotional materials for their exhibition.

Senior Laboratory Technician School of Biological & Physical Sciences
Daytona State College is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician for our School of Biological & Physical Sciences. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires an Associate of Arts or higher degree with emphasis in Biology and Chemistry, and at least six (6) months of related experience.
Responsibilities: The selected candidate for this position will assist in the laboratory set up and clean up. The employee will also assist in the preparation of chemicals, reagents and media and organize the laboratory and prep areas. They will help with training of student workers; maintain a safe environment; and maintain laboratory inventory.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must have the ability to give information, guidance, or assistance to people; must be able to give instructions or assignments to helpers or assistants; must have knowledge in the operation and use of laboratory equipment. This candidate must also have knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs such as work processing and spreadsheets and must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and possess or have strong organizational skills. The employee needs to be familiar with the SDS sheet and OSHA requirements.
Salary: $17.90 per hour for 20 hours per week (Flexible Hours)
Working Hours: This position may require evening and weekend hours as needed to make sure all labs are properly set up and taken down. Work schedule may vary from week to week.

Learning Specialist School of Adult Education
Positions - AM/PM Daytona/Deltona Campuses – AM Deland
Daytona State College is seeking Learning Specialists for our School of Adult Education for spring 24 and summer 24 semesters. These positions are available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Education or a closely related field. Preference given to applicants who have experience with an automated environment, student services and teaching. Bilingual a plus!
Responsibilities:
- This position serves as a student and teacher resource in the Adult Education (AE) Computer Labs and classrooms.
- The individual will provide student and instructor assistance with access to Adult Education (AE) software and provide technical assistance on maneuvering within the programs, maintain the databases within the programs, and assist instructors as they utilize the programs. They will tutor small groups of AE students.
- Additionally, the individual will assist Adult Education (AE) students in utilizing the computer programs to enhance their learning.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate will have the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously; the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Additionally, the candidate will be detail oriented and very comfortable in a computer environment.

Professional Tutor TRiO Upward Bound
Daytona State College is seeking a Professional Tutor with the ability to tutor in the core high school subjects and SAT/ACT/PERT preparation for our TRiO Upward Bound program. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires an associate degree with an emphasis on either Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and/or Foreign Language. One (1) year teaching, graduate internship, or related experience in tutoring in one of the respective subjects is preferred. Experience working at the postsecondary level is desired.
Responsibilities: The successful candidates will provide academic assistance to current high school students enrolled in the TRiO Upward Bound program. Tutoring sessions will focus on core subject areas and entrance exams such as PERT, SAT, and ACT. This position requires travel to designated tutoring locations including hour after-school tutoring at Mainland High School and Daytona State College.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must be able to relate to and work with high school students individually and/or in small groups, exercise good judgment, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. He or she will exercise strong organizational skills, exhibit an eagerness to learn and be of service, and promote positive student, faculty, and staff relations.
Salary: $16.68/hr (up to 20 hrs/week)
Working Hours and Location: Hours are flexible based on tutoring needs and will require evening, weekend, and summer hours. Position will be based on the Daytona Beach Campus; Mainland High School, or public facilities, as deemed necessary, depending on tutoring demands.

Campus Safety Officer Campus Safety Department - Daytona Campus
Daytona State College is seeking part time Campus Safety Officers for 2nd and 3rd shift. This position is available through Lyneer-Staffing Employment Services. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of six (6) months related work experience in customer service or security. This position also requires a valid Florida Driver's License. A Florida Class "D" Security License and CPR certification required to be attained within six (6) months from start date.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine patrols to provide security coverage and escort services; investigating and reporting accidents, theft, vandalism, and incidents occurring on Daytona State College property; performing building and room lockdowns and open ups; responding to incidents, accidents, and emergencies on the campus and assures the prompt submission of complete and accurate reports. Additionally, this position will be responsible for observing and ensuring resolution of safety hazards; providing directions and information to students and visitors; working dispatch, including answering phones, dispatching calls, and monitoring alarm systems and providing key assists. Officers may be located at Main or Regional Campuses.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills to provide information, guidance, or aid. The candidate must also have computer skills sufficient to prepare security incident reports as well as effective oral and written communication proficiencies.
