COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to provide criminal justice officers with the skills and techniques for conducting effective interviews during an investigation.
TOPICS TO BE COVERED INCLUDE: Introduction, Legal Issues, preparing for an Interview, Interview Techniques,
Conducting an Interview, Interviewing Juveniles, Interviewing Victims of Sexual Assault, and Aiding Eyewitness
Identification during Show-ups and Photo Lineups.NOTE: Students should have successfully completed the basic recruit training program or have been exempted prior to
taking this course. Attendance at all scheduled sessions is mandatory. Students shall be required to actively
participate in role-play exercises designed to demonstrate proficiency in the concepts and skills presented. Students
are required to pass an end-of-course examination with a minimum of 80%.INSTRUCTOR: Master Police Officer, Jose Vicente, Orlando Police Department (Ret.) and DSC Staff
