  • Agency Inspector

    Date: February 17-19, 2026 - 8:00 a.m- 5:00 p.m. (Tues-Thurs)
    Location: Daytona State College - ATC campus

    COURSE DESCRIPTION: During this 24 hour course, the student will learn the role of an agency inspector as it relates to ensuring evidentiary breath test instruments are providing accurate and reliable results. A written final exam is given requiring a minimum score of 80% to pass the course. Students must attend all sessions of the course. Note: Students must have a VALID BTO Operator certificate to attend this course.

    Who Should attend: To attend this training the participant must be a Florida law enforcement officer, assistant state attorney, or Non-Sworn member employed by a law enforcement agency. There duties must include the administration of the Breath Test Operator. Non-Sworn Agency Members, Florida Sworn Correctional, and Military (Federal) Law Enforcement will require prior FDOT Approval before registration is complete. This class is 24 hours and is NOT a salary incentive course. Training Authorization forms must be signed by agency representative authorizing the training.

  • Advanced Traffic Homicide Investigations

    Date: February 16-28, 2026 - 8:00 a.m- 5:00 p.m. (Mon-Fri)
    Location: Daytona State College - ATC campus

    COURSE DESCRIPTION: In this course the student will learn additional laws of physics that apply to speed, acceleration, and frictional forces. The dynamics of a vehicle in motion with respect to airborne situations such as falls vaults, and flips will be covered. An introduction to linear momentum will complete this vehicle dynamics section. The student will also learn to analyze impact damage as it relates to vehicle and occupant movement. This course is ideal for the officer on a career track to become a traffic crash Reconstructionist. An exercise in the measurement of vehicle crush deformation will be conducted.

    Who Should attend: To attend this training the participant must be a Florida law enforcement officer or assistant state attorney. There duties must include the investigation of traffic crashes or the support of crash investigators. The student must have taken and passed Basic Traffic Homicide, or it’s equivalent. Participants should have an aptitude towards mathematics. This class is 80 hours and is a salary incentive course. Training Authorization forms must be signed by agency representative authorizing incentive pay.

  • Technology Warrants

    Date: July 13, 2026 - 8:30 a.m- 4:30 p.m.
    Location: Daytona State College - ATC campus

    COURSE DESCRIPTION: This one-day course is designed to equip law enforcement officers with advanced investigative skills using Tower Dumps, Area Searches, and Timing Advance technology to effectively identify suspects and solve complex cases. With the end of Google Geofence capabilities, the course explores alternative methods, including cellular data exploitation and integrating modern tools like Connected Vehicle data. Participants will learn the principles of cellular networks, how devices interact within them, and how to analyze Tower Dumps and specialized location records. Additionally, the course covers Timing Advance technology for precise geographic searches, integrating these methods with traditional investigative tools, and ensuring adherence to legal and ethical guidelines.

    Who Should attend: Officers, Detectives, Crime Analysts, Investigators, etc. RESTRICTED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL

    Cost: $250 per student or $225 groups 3 or more
