Friday, March 27 UPDATE: Daytona State College to offer all Summer Term college credit
Daytona State College remains fully committed to you and your safety, and we are here to support you in achieving your academic goals. So that you can continue to make progress, all college credit classes (non-vocational) for the Summer Term (includes Summer 10-week and Summer A & B) will be completely online. Classes are scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 13. The ability to offer face-to-face and hybrid courses for the summer will be continually evaluated.
This extension of remote instruction is meant to further reduce the introduction and spread of COVID-19, following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If the situation changes, we will add face-to-face and hybrid courses.
A decision about vocational programs will be made at a later date, and we will send you email updates as well as continue to post updates to www.DaytonaState.edu/COVID-19. The College has also cancelled the Commencement ceremony scheduled for May 11, 2020.
Registration for current students begins April 1, and we encourage you to continue your academic path by setting up a (virtual) meeting with your academic advisor. Please visit www.DaytonaState.edu and use the Live Chat feature to contact an advisor now to lock in your schedule.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility, and please see a video message from President Tom LoBasso.
