Melanie McDonough
Assistant Chair
Melanie McDonough serves as the Assistant Chair / Program Director of the Respiratory Care Program at Daytona State College.
She began her career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Advent Health Orlando with a Bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Sciences from the University of Central Florida.
She then earned her Master’s degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Education from the University of Central Florida and began her career in academics as an adjunct faculty member for several state colleges and universities before her full time position at Daytona State.
She maintains her FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license and is active in both the American Association for Respiratory Care and the Florida Society for Respiratory Care. She has served as President of the FSRC and remains involved with the annual seminar committee.
