Dr. Duffy is a Senior Professor within the School of Nursing and began teaching at Daytona State College in August 2004. She is the Assistant Chair for the RN-BSN program within the School of Nursing and co-founded the study abroad learning experience to England for the department. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership and master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix; her first nursing degree was earned here at Daytona State College. Other colleges she has attended include McHenry County College in Illinois and Stetson University.

Dr. Duffy serves as a peer reviewer for the Accreditation Commission in Education for Nursing and received the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Award in 2017. She has presented at several international conferences, including England, Iceland, and India. She has served on the Global Advisory Board for Healthcare Systems and Global Business Issues conferences, in addition to a position as co-chair for public health and nursing professions with theMidwestern Business Administration Association. Professional publications and reviewing include healthcare, leadership, and education.

Dr. Duffy served in the capacity of college-wide curriculum chair. Service to college-wide committees includes institutional program review, college connections youth outreach, teaching and learning, library resources, policy and procedure, nomination and awards, speakers bureau, service learning and master faculty. She also acts as a liaison for local, regional, and national community organizations. Dr. Duffy is a member of the National RN-Baccalaureate Faculty Forum, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and was selected for membership to the National Society of Leadership and Success.
