Over the past two decades, with experience in several accredited dental hygiene programs, I have been privileged to experience diverse curriculums, best practice approaches, and platforms in both dental hygiene and assisting curriculums. Currently teaching at Daytona State College in the Dental Hygiene Program, provides an additional array of diverse approaches and delivery to promote achievement for the success of dental hygiene students in their pursuit of the profession. This department is responsible for a broad scope of practice focuses, that range from student best practices, patient education, advanced patient hygiene therapies, and the delivery of multi-disciplinary dental healthcare team approaches.

My passion encompasses the tools to empower students to deliver best practices to the patients they encounter and treat. These focus areas aim for diverse, ethical instruction and delivery. My desire is, and continues to be, to encourage, guide, and facilitate students to achieve success in their journey to attain a degree in dental hygiene, and to shed light on the path and role of the dental hygienist and their ethical and moral responsibility to assist in the health of the oral cavity, which is the gateway for good health and disease control.
