Lady Falcons Round Out 2014 Recruiting Class
The Lady Falcons are proud to announce their 2014 recruiting class. This group of young ladies is an accumulation of players Florida, Georgia, and Germany.

The first commitment of the year came from University High School defensive standout Haleigh Delligatti. Delligatti holds nearly all defensive records at University High School, where she and her teammates dominated many Florida high school programs. Additionally, Delligatti is inhancing her defensive play as libero for Powers Volleyball Club.

The Falcons second signee is from Lake Placid High School. Isabella Caraballo is a solid athlete that has the versatility to play both the outside and middle attacker position for the Lady Falcons. At 6'0" Isabella will bring size to the outside. She has played club volleyball for Top Select. With Top Select Caraballo had the opportunity to participate in AAU Nationals, as well as, USAV Junior Olympics in Dallas, Texas. She is a member of the All-County Team, as well as, the POSTYOURT All Star Team.

Alica Kandler was the Falcons third commitment for 2014. This strong German player has an impressive playing resume for a young player. At 5'11", Kandler has the ability to aggressively attack on offense, but can also provide a solid pass and defense for the Falcons. Kandler was elected to the German National Team. On this team she has succeeded in earning some of her greatest player accomplishments. In addition to her stint on the German National Team, Kandler has earned a place in the West German Volleyball Association.

This spring the Falcons attained their last two commitments. The first of these two comes to Daytona State's program from Smyrna, Georgia. Gabrielle Medrano is a 6'1" middle hitter. This young lady is an athlete, and will flourish in the Falcon volleyball program under Coach Stegall's direction. Medrano was not only a standout middle hitter for the Lady Spartans' of Campbell High School, she was also team captain. Currently, Medrano plays for VolleyOne, a club out of Atlanta, Georgia.

The Falcons last commitment came this last week from Rockledge High School. Alexandra Hollabaugh will sign with the Lady Falcons next week on the Rockledge campus. Hollabaugh is a strong setter that directed the offense for both the Lady Raiders of Rockledge and her Cape Coast Club volleyball team. Hollabaugh's success was recognized, as she received a place on the All Space Coast Conference Team and the 2013 Space Coast Senior All-Star Team.

The Falcons are eager to get the 2014 season underway. A strong 2014 recruiting class will add depth and strength to the returners from the inaugural 2013 season.
