Two Lady Falcons Receive National Recognition

Freshmen, Halle Dotson and Joely Cabrera, are receiving recognition for their superior play thus far this season.  As of September 25th, these Lady Falcon volleyball players have established themselves in the NJCAA polls for their offensive play for Daytona State.

Joely Cabrera, Daytona State’s starting outside hitter, has shown that size doesn’t matter.  Her explosive vertical and big swing has landed her at #10 in the rankings for season kills.  She currently holds that position with 247 kills on the season.  Additionally, Joely is ranked nationally for kills per set.  She holds the 12th position with 3.80 kills per set.

Halle Dotson, Daytona State’s 6’2” lefty, is providing a big attack for the Falcons on the right side and the back row.  Dotson currently lands at the 14th position for season kills with 231.  She is also ranked 25th for kills per set with 3.40 kills.
