I found that the world wasn't going to be too kind, so I came back home and transferred to Daytona State to finish my AA degree. The faculty at Daytona State really made an impact on the students. It's exciting to learn from people who have experience in what they are teaching.”

Then I heard about Pell grants. I met the financial aid people at Daytona State College and they steered me toward other sources of tuition assistance. My experience at Daytona State College was a turning point in my life. Once, math was my worst subject. Now I teach math at Daytona State. I have truly found my calling.”
