DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Aug. 21, 2009) - The Daytona State College Symphony Orchestra begins a new academic year of rehearsals starting Tuesday, Sept. 8. Rehearsals continue throughout the semester every Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
The orchestra, conducted by Dr. Norton Christeson, is comprised of string, wind and percussion players from Volusia and Flagler counties and is open to new members from the area. All rehearsals are held on the Daytona Beach Campus in the Theater Center (bldg. 220), room 219, located at 1200 W. Int’l Speedway Blvd.
The Symphony Orchestra’s first performance of the fall semester is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in the News-Journal Center at Daytona State College
