DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Sept. 14, 2009) – The Student Activities Department at Daytona State College is inviting currently enrolled students who are interested in cheerleading to tryout for the 2009-10 cheerleading team. The Falcon cheerleaders perform at all men’s and women’s home basketball games, as well as at various campus events, and participate in community service projects. Experienced or beginner cheerleaders are welcome.
Open tryouts will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, Thursday, Sept. 17 and Friday, Sept. 18 in the L. Gale Lemerand Center (bldg. 310) located on the Daytona Beach Campus at 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd. Participants are required to attend all three dates and should come wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
