Aqua Aerobics “Stretch & Twist”
This water exercise program provides a total body workout for those of moderate to advanced fitness levels. Classes include exercises for aerobic conditioning, flexibility, and strength training. Aqua Aerobics offers a safe and refreshing way to exercise for all ages. Cost $5 per class; 10 classes, pre-paid $35.

Pilates

Cardio Fusion
A complete cardio workout that combines step and strength intervals with a variety of movement styles and equipment. Instructor: Daniela Kilgore. Mondays and Wednesdays, $45 for 12 class sessions, $5 discount for DSC employees and students.

May 15-17
Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
Presented by Aerobics & Fitness Association of America. A three-day certification workshop including lectures, practical demonstrations and written and practical exams. Although this course will help prepare you for both AFAA's Personal Fitness Trainer Certification and the Personal Fitness Trainer National Boards, successful completion of the course does not guarantee you will pass either examination. Classes meet: Friday 1-9:30 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Cost: $499, for 25% discount, contact Laura Stegall at (386) 506-3670.

May 26-31
Lifeguard Training Course
Whether you want to pursue as a season or career opportunity, the America Red Cross certified lifeguarding course offered at Daytona State College provides the necessary training to help individuals develop rescue skills and be trained in First Aid, CPR and AED. Participants will learn how to prevent accidents through knowledge of lifeguarding, proper use of equipment and realization of responsibilities. The course begins on Tuesday, May 26 at 5 p.m. with a pre-test activity in order to access ability to swim 300 yards and retrieve a brick from the bottom of the pool using a surface dive, four-hours of instruction immediate follow. The course continues on Tuesday, May 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday, May 27, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Thursday, May 28, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Friday, May 29, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and concludes Sunday, May 31, from 1 to 7 p.m. Course fee is $200, $75 non-refundable deposit due upon registration, registration deadline: May 18.

May 29-31
Lifeguard Training and Review Class
Lifeguarding is a 2-year certification. The Lifeguarding Review course will re-certify the current lifeguard in lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid. The review course consists of a pre-test swim, review of skills, practical application, and written exams. The course begins on Friday, May 29, from 6 to 9 p.m., and continues on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., concluding on Sunday, May 31, from 1 to 7 p.m. Course fee is $125, $35 non-refundable deposit is due by May 22.
