Principles, Practices and Law for Salespersons

Daytona Motorsports Summer Academy 2010
Presented by the Center for Community & Professional Education at Daytona State College this summer academy for gifted or high-achieving students in grades eight through 12. During two week-long sessions, students will use race engineering and technology on remote control cars 1/10th the scale of actual race cars. The program, valued at $450, is no cost to participants, because of funding from the Governor's Gifted Summer Program.

What You Say Before You Speak
Presented by the Center for Community & Professional Education at Daytona State College. An eight-hour online course offering professionals the knowledge to examine how their actions and appearance effect how others think about them. This course will help you discover problem areas and help you improve. The course was written and is instructed by Lillian D. Bjorseth, a networking expert. She has been speaking nationwide on subjects like networking, building social capital, and appearances since 1990. Cost: $89.95.

Florida 4-Hour Basic Driver Improvement Course (BCI & TCAC)
If you have a Florida Driver's License OR you received a ticket in Florida, then the 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement (BDE & TCAC) course is for you! By taking the class, you will not receive any points on your record for the current violation, your insurance will not increase as long as there is no accident associated with the ticket (statute 318.14 (9), and your safe driver status will be maintained. Under Florida law, you may elect to attend a basic driver course in any 12-month period but no more than five times in any 10 year period. Holders of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) are not eligible to take this course per statute 318.14. Fee: $35.

Florida 12-Hour Advanced Driver Improvement Course (ADI)
This 12-Hour advanced driver improvement course helps individuals looking to get their license back after a suspension or revocation. The state approved self-paced class is offered completely online, allowing students 90 days to complete the material and have their license reinstated without traveling to a classroom or purchasing additional workbooks. This course does not apply for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) suspension. Fee: $79.

Florida 4-Hour DATA (Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness) Course
All first time drivers in the State of Florida are required to take the Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness (DATA) course before applying for their license. By taking this online course, you will learn about how alcohol and other drugs affect your ability to drive, laws and responsibilities, safe driving techniques, and how to increase your awareness on our roadways. You will also have the option of taking your driver permit exam online after completing this course (if applicable). Fee: $35.

Florida 8-Hour Judge Ordered Driver Improvement
If the court or judge has ordered you to take a traffic class, then the Florida 8-Hour Judge Ordered course is for you! Simply register for the course and start immediately. Florida Mature Driver Insurance Discount Course

Florida Boating Safety Course
Boating courses provide online instruction on how to safely operate a marine craft and get a boating license. If you are under 21 and operating a boat that has 10 hp or more, you are required to take a safe boating course. This curriculum meets state requirements for basic boater education and includes a final exam approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and recognized by the United States Coast Guard. This course focuses on activated sludge treatments of wastewater and modified activated sludge processes including the nutrient removal processes for nitrogen and phosphorus along with residual solids disposal and effluent discharge. The program places an emphasis on preparing the student to sit for the state licensure examination. Successful completion fulfills course requirements to sit for the Wastewater operator certification examination, Level B.
