Nancy Coogler, BSN, R.N.
Nancy became Coordinator III of the Institute for Health Services in October of 2019. Her professional history includes being a Registered Nurse since 1981, with experience in Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Cardiac Intensive Care, and 25 years in Emergency Nursing. Nancy has held certifications in ACLS, PALS, ENPC and TNCC.
She is a graduate of Vanguard High School in Ocala, Florida. She attended Central Florida Community College and received her Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts, and an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. She attended the Legal Studies Program at University of Central Florida, then earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville University.
Since then she has held positions as a Case Manager, specializing in Inpatient Rehab and in Long Term Acute Care. She was a Care Coordinator for a Primary Care Center Responsible for a Practice of 3,000. She was also a Provider Relations Specialist for an commercial health insurance company . She has many years of Professional Management and Supervisory experience, and now is looking forward to building and remodeling the Institute for Health Services at Daytona State College to keep up with the growing and ever changing Continuing Educational needs of our Health Care Community.
Dianna McGee is the administrative assistant responsible for keeping the department organized and on schedule, a responsibility she tackles with ease and a smile. She has over 18 years of experience in administrative and logistical work, and spent many of her early career years working as a medical and surgical assistant in Illinois.
