The Daytona State College L. Gale Lemerand Health, Wellness and Community Education Center which opened October 1997, is one of the finest, most comprehensive recreation and community education facilities in Florida. The Fitness Center, housed in the Lemerand Center, is located on the Daytona State Campus in building 310.
The 5,500 square-foot Fitness Center is completely equipped with, state-of-the-art
weight training and aerobic equipment. The facility has a 19-piece Cybex resistance
training circuit and 3.2 tons of free weights. There is a 31 piece aerobic arena featuring
stair climbers, treadmills, elliptical trainers, spinning bikes, recumbent and stationary
bikes, rowing machines, Airdynes and exercise equipment for the physically challenged.
All staff members are AED, CPR and First Aid certified.

Monday - Thursday: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Holiday Closure(s): Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 21st) & Spring Break (March 11th-15th)

All classes are open to the public. Students with a Fitness & Aquatic Center Membership receive free entry into all classes. All interested parties can sign up in the Aquatic Center. Classes have a limited number of participants so don't miss out- sign up today!
