Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences at Daytona State College. The College offers something for everyone. Whether your interests lie in the Natural or Social Sciences, Performing or Studio Arts, Photography, Literature, History, Mathematics or School of world Languages and Speech, you will find classes and activities to challenge and enlighten you. Our Honors College offers students with proven academic ability an assortment of challenging courses and the opportunity to participate in a formal research program to satisfy their intellectual curiosity and quest for knowledge.

The 2nd annual STEM Expo drew 500 middle and high school students to Daytona State's News-Journal Center for a wild day of science experiments and eye-opening talks by STEM professionals - from a bowling ball designer to a mathematician/artist. {February 2014}

Mission Statement

The College of Arts and Sciences provides a comprehensive and transferable academic program of quality coursework leading to the associate of arts degree; associate of science degrees in Music Production Technology, Environmental Science Technology and Photography. By providing a varied general education core curriculum, the college supports all bachelor, associate of science and certificate programs. The college will provide each Daytona State College student with enriching opportunities that may include participation in the Honors College, Learning Communities, Cultural Activities and other extra-curricular opportunities that will augment a student's success.
