Fresh Start Program

Fresh Start is a six-week class that assists women and men 18 years and older who are in transition and desire to return to school. The program provides support and encouragement while offering practical tools to succeed in achieving one’s academic goals. Participants learn to build self-confidence, set educational priorities, explore financial aid opportunities, discover scholarship options and prepare for a new beginning. In addition individuals are introduced to the may career and technical programs offered at Daytona State. After completing the Fresh Start Program, graduates will be better prepared to make a successful transition into the career and technical programs of Daytona State College. 

Admission Requirements

The Fresh Start program serves individuals who:

  • Are 18 or older and not enrolled in public school
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Want to enroll at Daytona State College and earn a Vocational Certificate or an Associate of Science degree

Participants in the Fresh Start Program will:

  • Build self confidence
  • Examine educational options
  • Explore Financial Aid opportunities
  • Complete college enrollment

Class Schedule

This is a FREE six-week daytime program. Classes are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
