The 2015 Falcon baseball program will mark it's 14th season with Tim Touma as Head Baseball Coach. In it's 13 years with Tim Touma at the helm, Falcon baseball has won four Mid-Florida Conference championships.  Additionally, the Falcons are seven time NJCAA National Academic Award recipients, posting the highest grade point average nationally. The 2014 Falcons led the nation academically with a 3.66 team accumulative grade point average.

Pitching coach and Falcon recruiting coordinator, Chris Reilly, returns to the Daytona State staff for his eighth season.

Cameron Jergens, a former Falcon standout is the newest member to join the Daytona State coaching staff.   Jergens’s responsibilities will be training the outfielders along with assisting with the Falcon Developmental Baseball Program.

Freshmen All-Conference infielder, Austin Marrs, returns for the Falcons.  In 2014 he led all Falcon hitters in batting average, hitting an impressive .345.

Returning on the mound for Daytona State, are two sophomore pitchers, Johnny Ortiz and Phoenix Sanders.  Ortiz recorded a 3.27 ERA in 2014.  Teammate, Sanders, led the Falcon pitching staff in innings pitched with 65, logging 52 strikeouts on the season and charting a 3.17 ERA.

The Falcons have their eyes set on attaining another National Academic Award in 2015, along with a return trip to the FCSAA State Tournament.
