Mission Statement

The Daytona State College Athletic Training/Sports Medicine Department strives to provide the best quality health care through prevention, education, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for Daytona State College’s student athletes, by coordinating services and facilitating communication between physicians, athletes, coaches, and support staff.

National Athletic Trainer's Association Mission Statement

The mission of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association is to enhance the quality of health care for athletes and those engaged in physical activity, and to advance the profession of athletic training through education and research in the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries.

The Athletic Training site is maintained by Shannon Slaybaugh.
