Update to DSC Students – Friday, April 17, 2020

Dear Daytona State College Students,

I hope you have had a productive and studious week. You might be surprised to know that we are quickly approaching the end of the semester, and for our weekly update, I have some exciting news to share with you. By now, you are aware that we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the traditional commencement ceremony. College leaders have been exploring alternate ideas to recognize our students’ academic achievements.

We’re pleased to announce that we are going to hold a Virtual Commencement Ceremony to celebrate this important milestone. The ceremony will be broadcast on Monday, May 11, at 6:00 p.m. on our YouTube channel. While this ceremony will be like none other in the history of the College, we still want to maintain the individual recognition of our students that comes with our traditional commencement ceremony.

If you’ve already applied for graduation, you’ll receive a separate email with instructions on how to participate. And as mentioned previously, you are also cordially invited to participate in the 2021 ceremony.

To all of our students, as members of the Daytona State family, we hope that you will be able to watch the celebration and share this important milestone with the Class of 2020.
