All Daytona State College campuses will close at 5 p.m. today, December 19 for Winter Break. The College will reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2025. During the break, you can still apply to DSC for the upcoming Spring semester, and current students can register for classes in the student portal.

Application details
Our program is a limited access program, admitting only 16 students each year to ensure a high-quality, focused educational experience. Applications are accepted annually in during the month of February. To apply, you must complete the following requirements:

  • Observation hours: Complete eight hours of observation with a dental hygienist.
  • Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS): Take the TEAS and meet the minimum required scores.
  • Prerequisite courses: Complete the five required prerequisite courses.

The Dental Hygiene Program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of “approval without reporting requirements”.
