All Daytona State College campuses will close at 5 p.m. today, December 19 for Winter Break. The College will reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2025. During the break, you can still apply to DSC for the upcoming Spring semester, and current students can register for classes in the student portal.

The college now offers seven Bachelor of Science in Education degrees: Elementary Education, Exceptional Student Education, Secondary Mathematics Education, Secondary Biology Education, Secondary Chemistry Education, Secondary Physics Education and Secondary Earth/Space Science Education.

This program incorporates an innovative curriculum with cutting-edge technology. Our experienced faculty is dedicated to providing students with the essential knowledge and strategies needed to become successful teachers. The degree programs are fully accredited, state-approved programs that fulfill the education courses, professional education competencies and practical experience required for students to obtain a five-year Florida Professional Educator's Certificate in their respective disciplines. Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education programs include a reading endorsement and an ESOL endorsement.

DSC graduates have been hired in public, private and charter schools in six Florida counties. They have been hired as elementary education, exceptional education, math, ESOL, reading and media teachers in 29 different schools.
