Welcome to Daytona State College EMS!
We offer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic courses every semester.
For information on refresher classes, BLS, ACLS classes (etc.), please visit the Institute for EMS Education. These classes are not offered through the EMS department.
STEP ONE TO APPLY FOR ALL FALL EMS CLASSES: You must be 18 and a high school graduate, or have a GED prior to applying for EMT classes. If you are applying for Paramedic classes, you must have completed an EMT class within the state of Florida prior to applying.
Updated information on seats remaining for each class will be posted on the EMT or Paramedic home page. You can get this information by clicking on the picture of the patch.

Wait list is currently full. Will re-open applications for wait list if deemed necessary at a later date.
***The Spring 2018 Paramedic course will be offered on the Volusia County C-Shift Fire Service Schedule.

The Daytona State College EMS Program is approved by the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, as meeting all requirements of Florida Statute Section 401 and Florida Administrative Code 64-J-1 for EMS Training Centers in Florida.
The Daytona State College EMS Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP)
