Assistant Chair, School of Engineering Tech
Ali Mehrabian is a faculty member and an assistant chair for the BSET program. He teaches statics, dynamics, and other engineering and mechanics subjects. Professor Mehrabian earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona, and his MS and BS from California San University in San Jose (currently known as SJSU). He worked for the engineering and research industry before he was appointed as a faculty member at the University of Central Florida until 2010. Since then he has been teaching at Daytona State College (DSC) and providing services. Some of his research and scholarly activities have been disseminated through more than 60 peer-reviewed publications. Throughout his career, he has served as PI, and co-PI of grants funded by NSF, FSGC, etc. His research interests also include technical and pedagogical aspects of engineering and technology.
