Gabrielle Medrano Commits to the Falcons

Medrano Commits with the Lady Falcon Program

The Lady Falcon volleyball program is happy to announce the commitment of Gabrielle Medrano. Medrano committed this week following her visit to the Daytona Beach campus.

Medrano and her Volley One club team were down from Atlanta, Georgia playing in the President's Day Tournament at Orlando Volleyball Academy when Coach Stegall noticed this 6'1" middle hitter. Her athleticism, strength, and abilities made Medrano a standout at the tournament.

After her team secured Silver on Monday, Medrano and her mother made the short trip to Daytona Beach to take in what Daytona State had to offer. After meeting the team and viewing campus, Medrano and her mother were confident this would be a great fit for this emerging player that has a very bright future in front of her as a Falcon.

Medrano is currently a senior at Campbell High School in Smyrna, Georgia. She was senior captain of her team and has identified herself as a leader in many areas of her life; in school, volleyball, and in her servant leadership role in the community.

Medrano currently plays under George Miller, with Volley One. In addition to her commitment to school and volleyball training, Medrano serves as a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The Falcons welcome Medrano to the family and are excited to see her develop in the program the next two years.
