The course will use the country of England as a case study to analyze the government, spiritual and economic issues and how they come together to influence healthcare for the population. This study abroad program to England is designed to augment the theoretical understanding of international healthcare delivery systems with a hands-on experience of international travel, international healthcare, and non-US cultures. Students will increase their global awareness of health issues, helping them understand what it means to be a citizen of the world and not just the United States. The travel itinerary includes the cities of London and Grantham. The program itinerary tentatively includes visits to St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey (Nurses chapel), Parliament, Florence Nightingale museum, London Bridge Hospital, University of London-Macmillan Cancer Center, Cotswolds village, Olde Operating Theatre, Public Health Walk, Royal College of Surgeons, and the Huntarian Museum.

Costs: $2,500 Program Fee
Included: The program fee includes expenses for round-trip airfare from Orlando to London, in country transportation via train and subway, travel insurance, six nights' accommodations, and group educational excursions.

Not Included: Tuition for NUR3655 Multicultural Nursing in Society (3 credit hours); books; costs of obtaining passports, excess baggage fees, personal expenses and gratuities, and some meals; additional travel or excursions not included in group itinerary.
