Where: Ireland
Who: Open to B.A.S. in Supervision and Management Students
When: March 8, 2018 – March 15, 2018 (Spring Break 2018)
Courses: MAN4930 Selected Topics in Management, International Management (3 Credit Hours) and/or MAN4900 – Capstone Project in Supervision and Management (3 Credit Hours)

The course will use the country of Ireland as a case study to analyze current issues in international business and management: international management, modern Irish economy, Ireland's use of foreign tax incentives to increase foreign direct investment, customer service delivery mechanisms, analysis of economic development of similar emerging industries as in Volusia County, benchmarking economic development of similar tourism regions, impact of the Irish economic crisis and takeaways, Irish legal institutions and systems, and many more. This study abroad program to Ireland is designed to augment the theoretical understanding of international business with a hands-on experience of international travel, international businesses, and non-US cultures. Students will increase their global awareness, helping them understand what it means to be a citizen of the world and not just the United States. Students will deepen their content knowledge of each of the courses and be able to apply the content internationally. Our travel itinerary includes the cities of Dublin and Galway with time allocated for students to spend on day trips to other local cities or to explore our designated cities more deeply. The program itinerary tentatively includes visits to Trinity College Dublin and the Book of Kells, St. Patrick's Cathedral, St. Michan's Church, Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery, Gaelic Games, the City of Galway (named Europe's Capital City of Culture 2020), Shannon's tax free economic zone, Eyre Square, the Claddagh, the Spanish Arch, and Quay Street.

Costs: $3,300 Program Fee
Included: The program fee includes expenses for round-trip airfare from Orlando to Dublin, in country transportation via train and bus, travel insurance, six nights' accommodations, and group educational excursions.
