Hundreds of students starting fall classes on the Daytona Beach Campus this week were greeted by a coterie of college staff and outside vendors during the first of what will be a series of welcome back events to be held at each campus location in coming days.
In addition to free food and music served under a cloudless azure sky, students learned about various campus departments and student services available to them, as well as clubs and organizations they can participate in to make the most of their college experience.
Also on hand were vendors representing area banks, insurance and health care providers and local eateries.
Welcome back activities continue through Sept. 12. For a complete schedule, visit the Daytona State Welcome Back page.
