Aqua Aerobics "Stretch & Twist"
This water exercise program provides a total body workout for those of moderate to advanced fitness levels. Classes include exercises for aerobic conditioning, flexibility, and strength training. Aqua Aerobics offers a safe and refreshing way to exercise for all ages. Cost $5 per class; 10 classes, pre-paid $35.

"Learn to Swim" Swim Lessons
The "Learn to Swim" program is an American Red Cross certified program designed to teach all ages to swim and be sage around aquatic environments. The program is broken into seven levels, starting with water adjustment skills and advances to competitive stroke perfection. Water safety is stressed and taught to all students. Instructors are certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors.

May 18-21
Lifeguard Course
For seasonal or career opportunity, the American Red Cross-certified lifeguarding course at Daytona State College provides training to help individuals develop rescue skills and learn First Aid, CPR and AED. Participants will learn how to prevent accidents through knowledge of lifeguarding, proper use of equipment and understanding responsibilities. The course begins on Thursday, March 23, at 5 p.m. with a required pre-test consisting of a 300-yard continuous swim, a timed swim of 20 yards followed by a surface dive to recover a 10-pound brick and return to start point, and two minutes of treading water. Successful participants will then begin the class with three hours of instruction from 7 to 9 p.m. The course continues on Friday, May 19, from 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and concludes on Sunday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Course fee is $150 (plus $35 American Red Cross Certification Fee) and requires a $50 non-refundable deposit due by _______.

May 19, 5-9 p.m. and May 20, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Water Fitness Instructor Certification Course
Participants must be 16 years or older, had previous participation in a water fitness program and in good health. A written test as well as a 3-5-minute demonstration to show opposing muscle groups, optimal stretches for correcting posture, demonstrating various levels of intensity is required for practical application of testing. Course fee is $250, includes: study guide, testing, Red Cross "Safety in and around the water course", Ship Shape Water Fitness Instructor T-Shirt for all pre-registered participants. Re-Cert's $75 with current CPR and 15 CEC's; or $99 to take the course prior to expiration with no CEC's, Adult CPR/Defibrillation – $45.
