DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 8, 2017) - Daytona State College presents the following calendar of events for April 2017.

Events are open to the public and free of charge, unless otherwise noted.

Aquatic Center  

April 3–28, 11:15. a.m. – noon (Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays)
Aqua Aerobics "Stretch & Twist"
This water exercise program provides a total body workout for those of moderate to advanced fitness levels. Classes include exercises for aerobic conditioning, flexibility, and strength training. Aqua Aerobics offers a safe and refreshing way to exercise for all ages. Cost $5 per class; 10 classes, pre-paid $35.

April 4-25, 5-6 p.m. (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Beginner Recreational Water Polo
Have fun and exercise in the water with our beginner water polo! Game play involves swimming, players passing the ball while being defended by opponents, and scoring by throwing into a net defended by a goalie. Water exercise belts are provided. Cost $5 per class or free with Aquatic Center membership.

Boot Camp
High intensity interval circuit that merges together cardio and weight training! Instructor: Laura. Mondays, $25 for the session. Class is FREE with a student Fitness and Aquatic Center Membership.

Burn & Sculpt
A complete cardio workout that combines step and strength intervals with a variety of movement styles and equipment. Instructor: Sandra. Tuesdays & Thursdays, $25 for the session. Class is FREE with a student Fitness and Aquatic Center Membership.

"Learn to Swim" Swim Lessons
The "Learn to Swim" program is an American Red Cross certified program designed to teach all ages to swim and be sage around aquatic environments. The program is broken into sevel levels, starting with water adjustment skills and advances to competitive stroke perfection. Water safety is stressed and taught to all students. Instructors are certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors.

Zumba

Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course
Interested in becoming a Certified Water Safety Instructor? The American Red Cross is offering this blended learning class on the Daytona State campus during the month of April. Enrollees must be signed up by April 15th as there is required online content to complete before the first day of class.
