Community Service
The Community Service Leadership Committee was established in Fall of 2003 with the purpose of organizing what was an existing concept into a formal process. The student-athlete based committee met initially to discuss ideas for possible community service projects and to set goals for the year. The 2009-2010 Committee continued with this process and once goals were set, met regularly to report progress. Our goal for the year was for each team to do at least one community service project and two major projects together. Members of the committee, which consisted of one freshman and one sophomore from each team, were required to submit a report to the committee coordinator. They were also encouraged to take pictures and/or collect materials from the event. The reports and materials are kept in a binder for reference by the Committee Coordinators.
