Erica Firouzadj
The mission of the Daytona State College Cheerleading Club is to develop athletic and leadership skills through the study and practice of safe cheerleading techniques. The club emphasizes positive values, responsibility and dedication to the sport of cheerleading. The function of the club is to promote school spirit through performances at Daytona State College athletic events and extra-curricular activities. Ms. Erica Firouzadj, a former Falcon Cheerleader, is more than the head coach to the cheerleaders. She acts as a mentor where she works to instill these values into the Falcon Cheerleaders.
This is going to be her third year coaching for Daytona State; she has also coached competitive and Pop-Warner level cheerleaders and is certified by the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators Safety Certification.
Ms. Firouzadj has been a gymnast, dancer, and has cheered for most of her life. With her background she intends to help the squad prefect dances, stunts, and tumbling skills while practicing the safety skills and techniques taught by the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators Safety Certification.
