My Daytona State

Campus Safety Awareness Day

Campus SafetyEach year in April, Daytona State College Campus Safety hosts Campus Safety Awareness Day. During these events, the Daytona State College community, local law enforcement, and people from several agencies dedicated to serving our local community team up to inform, entertain, and increase awareness of some of the most important issues affecting our safety.

Activities include a presentation of the colors by DSC School of Emergency Services students, a pledge of allegiance, a moment of silence for victims of campus tragedies, guest speakers from the community, safety training and presentations, safety drills, static police displays, awards presentations for the Campus Safety Wall of Fame, and a visit from the Daytona Beach Police Department K-9 unit officers and their friendly canine partners.

Contact Campus Safety for more information on the next Campus Safety Awareness Day and how you can participate.
