The High School/GED Placement Test is the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education). TABE scores above a ninth grade level will place a student in High School or GED preparatory classes. Scores below ninth grade will place a student into Adult Basic Education classes.
Your first step is to submit an application to the college (Adult Education). Your admissions advisor will inform you of the Adult Education orientation/placement test.

Assessment Services is responsible for monitoring test sessions. Daytona State College does not tolerate cheating nor disruptive behavior. If an examinee is suspected of cheating, the test session will be terminated and voided and the examinee will be asked to leave the area. The incident will be reported to college officials and disciplinary action may be taken.
